Honor Guard

The Department honor guard has been answering the call since 1996. We recognized the need to have a group of our finest to formally represent our department at special events. The members are those who have the desire to represent the department and city with pride.
Our first official function was presenting the colors at the city Christmas parade in 1996. Over the next several years our number of members increased. In 1998, our group traveled to Emmitsburg, Maryland for the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial. The Memorial Service honors the previous years fallen firefighters from across the country. We have performed funeral details for past members of our department and city officials. Our services have been shared with other fire departments in Kentucky with firefighter funeral details.
